The previous post of comparing between a Mainframe and Midrange computer is very much related to my day to day work in one of the oil and gas company. There are so many systems that are under Mainframe and Midrange scope. I am taking myself as an example, my everyday workloads handling both systems.
You might ask, what are Mainframe and Midrange systems?
What i do everyday is..........
1. From Mainframe System:
TSO, SAPR2, TSOTOR(ISPW, SAP R2, DB2, ADI, ADABAS), RACF, VM, INFOPAC, SOCRATES
2. From Midrange System:
AS400, ORACLE/ARSTDO (TOAD), WSIS, UNIX, CITRIX, SQL, UC4, MAXIMO
